Happy Monday loves! With so much pressure to keep up with societal trends, it can be easy to start thinking that your wardrobe has to consist of only affordable clothes or only high-end/luxury designer pieces. However, there are many places where you can shop that have affordable, good quality, and stylish pieces in order to accomplish GREAT looks! With today’s post, I’ll be giving you all some insight on where I shop and how you can still look bomb without breaking the bank!
While shopping, I love to consider quality, functionality, practicality, pricing, and how whatever item fits with MY wardrobe and style. I admit sometimes I struggle with buying on impulse (I mean, who doesn’t ? especially when there’s a GOOD sale!), but I try my best to stick to shopping SMART.
As pictured, I decided to mix some vintage items with some new affordable and luxury pieces. I wore a nude snakeskin print mock neck dress layered under a black leather jacket with a pair of black patent leather boots. To accessorize, I wore my favorite beret, and a pair of signature shades.
I was so happy pairing these pieces together because I didn’t waste any money by buying overpriced items. The Perry Ellis leather jacket was given to me by my grandma, the dress was on sale at Urban Oufitters for $52, the J. CREW beret was only $20 and I was fortunate enough to snag these Bottega Veneta black boots online at The RealReal for only $87! If you’ve never heard of it, The RealReal is a luxury consignment store where you can get high quality designer items for less. I’m not a huge fan of consignment stores, but these boots were in pristine condition and the price was AMAZING so I couldn’t resist! Also, sustainability is super important and when we buy things that are gently used/worn or secondhand, we’re avoiding the wasteful cycle that occurs in the fashion industry.
