It’s officially that lukewarm time of year again; it’s still warm, but the calendar says fall. I know for some of us it can be annoying when we slide on a leather jacket on a cold morning and then it’s 75 degrees when we’re coming home. Sometimes, it’s difficult to plan looks with such misleading weather. With today’s post, I’ll be showing you guys how I styled a summer dress for this obscure change of season.
As pictured, I am wearing a mint green slip dress layered over a mesh mint top. To add some texture and edge, I threw on a hunter green, croc trench coat along with a classic pair of Nike Air Force 1s. You guys already know accessorizing is super important to me, so I added my mint square 90s shades, and my yellow Telfar shopper for a nice contrast.
I love this look because of how last minute it was. When initially planning my look for this concept, I had a totally different vision, but when I tried it on, I had to think fast and switch gears. I decided to build my look around a classic slip dress since they’re extremely versatile and are one of my favorite wardrobe staples. From the nice play on different green hues and the pop of color with my bag, to the iridescent details on my sneakers, this outfit is perfect for early fall especially if you’re going for a casual, street style vibe. Sometimes, last minute looks really are the best!
