How to Add Prints Into Your Wardrobe

Happy Thursday and Women’s History Month loves! In spite of the recent chaos, I still want to get some content out for you guys & hope this post can bring some positivity to you all in these confusing times. Since the start of this year, I’ve made it my duty to honor the post requests made by you guys. With warmer weather on the horizon, I’m sure we’re all tempted to step outside our comfort zones with bolder silhouettes, prints, colors, and styles. For all my minimalists out there, I know it can be hard to transition printed pieces into your wardrobe without looking crazy and shying away from your style! In today’s post, I’ll be giving some inspiration on how to incorporate prints and textures into your closet, while staying classic.

As pictured, I am wearing a velvet green tie-dye high neck top and a wrap quilted black skirt, layered under my mint green leather coat with fur details on the collar and sleeves. For comfort and edge, I threw on my classic pair of black Dr. Martens. As you all know, I think accessorizing with statement pieces is a must, so I added my green shopper bag and funky white tortoise shell sunnies.

I especially loved this look because of the play on the color green. I like combining different shades of a specific color because it brings cohesiveness to your look while making a statement with all the unique elements in each piece. From the fur details in the leather coat, tie-dye print, to the texture of the green shopper, this is the perfect transitional outfit for Winter to Spring. Also, I decided to add hints of black through the skirt and boots to balance the whole look.
