This Sneaker and Dress Combo Is Every Minimalist's Dream

While Spring is the prime time for fashion lovers to bring out their brightest blues and most saturated pinks, there are still those days where you just feel like going simple and neutral with your look. With warmer temperatures finally starting to manifest, an easy outfit formula is the best way to go. Whether you have a certain penchant for color like myself, or are a minimalist at heart, you can never go wrong with neutrals. If you need some spring street style inspo, keep scrolling for the perfect, edgy look to help you channel your inner minimalist, or further elevate it.

As pictured, I wore a preppy style black & white dress, styled with a classic pair of Converse Run Star Motions. To accessorize, I wore a navy, white, and red bowling bag and black sunglasses with red orange lenses. In addition, I styled my hair in bantu knots for an even more bold look.

Although my style is far from minimal, I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone with this look. While the concept of minimalism can be daunting to the audacious dresser, the subtle details of any look can satisfy one’s statement-making needs, while playing by the minimalist’s rules. Styling a dress and sneakers is a easy, yet timeless styling method that’ll never steer you wrong. Not only is the dress a classic take on the school girl trend, but it’s the perfect piece for those days where the weather can be ever so in-between — cool in the morning, and warm in the afternoon. From the abstract logos to the hints of red and exaggerated, yet sleek design of the sneakers, this is the ultimate street look that’s ideal for anybody, minimalist or not.
