Nay's Pick: Fall Faves

PSA: Fly Girl Fall is officially in full effect! I am so happy that the weather I’ve been waiting to dress for has actually manifested. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, I recently asked you guys what kinds of posts you would like to see now that my favorite season is here. A big request was my take on Fall trends, especially for beginners who don’t know where to start. So, today I’m excited to be showing you how can take some Fall classics and turn them into effortless, yet statement looks.

I decided to take the monochromatic approach to my look. As you all know, I love playing with different colors and tones, and this time around was no exception. Here’s the breakdown of my favorites this season:

TRENCH-COAT: For starters, I think EVERYBODY should have a great trench coat in their Fall wardrobe. Its versatility makes it the perfect piece, especially when the weather gets unpredictable. They’ve evolved into many prints, colors, and styles that stores are now selling. You can layer it over just about any item of clothing whether it be pants, skirts, dresses, or your favorite knitwear. I mean, how can you resist this gorgeous green one? 😍

A HIGH NECK/TURTLENECK (DRESS): A turtleneck is a basic clothing item that can be easily elevated if styled correctly. I’m currently working on expanding my turtleneck collection and this olive piece was a necessity for me.

ACCESSORIES: I truly love incorporating accessories into my outfits because they bring personality and something special to any ensemble. I wanted to keep the play on the different shades of green going, so I added this forest green shopper. The perfect touch, right? You guys already know shades are one of my signatures so I threw on my peach pair. To finish everything off, I wore my CDG sneakers along with some gold rings.

Overall, this look is all about versatility, functionality, and creativity. All these items are great for when you want to bundle up, but still look put together. I was able to successfully pair different pieces together in an ideal “Fall color” - green, while having fun and sticking to my style.

Look Details:

Coat, Bag, & Coin Ring: COS

Dress: H&M Shoes: Converse x Commes Des Garcons

Shades: Vintage

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Stay tuned for more!

Xoxo - Nay.
