Though the calendar deems the 21st as the official start of Summer, the long awaited season has decided to come early and super hot here in NYC. Just getting through a heat wave, it can be tricky to navigate through such extreme temps especially when there was no “proper” transition. One of my favorite ways to combat the sweltering heat is to wear bright colors! You guys already know I love colors and color blocking so in today’s post, I’ll be showing you guys a glimpse of my summer style, utilizing pastels.
As pictured, I decided to do some fun color play with the cutest green and purple hues, some of my faves being lavender and mint green. I threw on a ribbed two toned purple dress and layered a lavender metallic shirt over it. For the ultimate street vibe, I wore a classic pair of AF1s, a green tie-dye Nike bucket hat and accessorized with the street style icon of a classic New York summer, the Telfar bag.
From the daring color combo to the light airy vibe that the shirt exudes, I loved wearing this look! As much as I love color, purple and green isn’t the first combination that pops into my head so I was happy to see them complement each other so well. Not to mention the bucket hat is an amazing summer essential everyone needs in their closet. Whether you’re going for a nice summer’s day out in the city with friends, or need overall summer street style inspo, this outfit is for you! If you want to get even more comfortable, you can rock whatever two toned piece alone with whatever accessories you want!
