The 90s Hair Trend I'll Always Be Obsessed With

When it comes to influences in fashion, I'm sure we can all agree that the 1990s is one of the most iconic decades that has revolutionized the industry. From slip dresses and bomber jackets to mom jeans and bucket hats, many 90s trends have made their way back into modern day society, more stylish than ever. With so many groundbreaking moments to choose from, the summer is one of my favorite seasons to rock trends from such a legendary time. If you're obsessed with this era like I am, this post is for you. Keep scrolling to see how I styled one of the most classic and versatile accessories a girl can own, the bandana.

Growing up, I've always loved seeing how creative some of my favorite 90s black stars were with their style. From being inspired by icons like Aaliyah and TLC, I decided to do a photoshoot as homage to one of my favorite periods in time. I wore a blue vintage F.U.B.U. jersey with a pair of blue Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs, accessorized with a denim Brandon Blackwood bag, and a classic white bandana.

Two of the most revolutionary items of black 90s culture, combining a F.U.B.U. piece with the bandana tied around my hair gave me all the nostalgic feels. Bandanas are already a versatile accessory that you can wear around your hair, neck, even as a shirt, and rocking the jersey as a dress just exudes the ultimate street style vibe that will always be iconic. Not to mention, doing this shoot on a tennis court allowed me to live out my 90s dreams, as I always loved seeing how innovative photoshoots were with notable black stars and icons. Keep scrolling for look details and inspo pics for this throwback moment!
