Happy Tuesday loves! As if February being Black History Month and Fashion Month wasn't enough, these first few days of the month have brought nothing but hints of spring and picture perfect days. Therefore, I decided to take advantage of the weather before it gets super cold again. Today's post is about how you can combine different pieces and colors to create a bold look.
Color play is a classic method to styling yourself and is appropriate for any season. Ever since I decided to be more daring, I've become more comfortable with pairing colors that don't exactly match, but complement each other well. I paired a grey tint, velvet mock neck dress with an electric blue velvet quilted coat, and some fuschia pink sock boots. I didn't originally plan to wear the velvet dress, but in order to keep the texture cohesive, I decided to change it. Sometimes, last minute looks are truly the best ones!
