With Scorpio season almost over, I wanted to give you guys a glimpse of my birthday week here! Last week, I went on a much needed vacation with my closest friends and family to Tulum, Mexico to celebrate my 22nd birthday. Before I continue, I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for all the birthday love! From the sweet messages and calls to texts and dms, I felt really appreciated and this year was one of the best birthdays I’ve had in a long time! I did want to be more present and enjoy every moment during the trip, so I wasn’t paying too much attention to linking items and tagging what I was wearing. I kind of just posted and came off social media to really enjoy each day’s adventures. Since you guys loved all of my looks so much, I wanted to link them to give you some vacation inspo - whether it be a birthday or just because! With that in mind, keep scrolling for some looks!
MAMACITA: When I decided on Mexico, I immediately thought of packing dramatic pieces. So, I HAD to bring this satin fuschia duster with pink feathers on the back and sleeves. This piece gave me all the confidence I needed to start my birthday week with a bang. Besides, what’s a vacation without a Hanifa piece?

OUT OF OFFICE: Before doing anything on vacay, I like to either relax by or take a dip in the pool. Our Airbnb was so beautiful, so I wanted to utilize my surroundings in the best way possible. You guys know I love color, so I threw on a multicolored beach coverup and oversized orange hat for the ultimate vacation vibe.

LOVE SWIRL: For this trip, I knew I wanted to go out of the box and my birthday eve dinner was no exception. One of my favorite colors is pink so this swirl dress with gloves was the best dress to set the tone for the big night. To accessorize, I wore my copper mini Telfar and silver glass mules.

ENJOYING PARADISE: For the big day, my friends and I went on a luxury catamaran in the Riviera Maya for 4 hours. This experience was nothing, but pure paradise, so I wore a green tropical print mesh dress over my swimsuit for a vibe. I accessorized with a pair of green and blue reflective sunglasses.

QUEEN OF THE NIGHT: To ring in the big 22, I had to go big or simply fly back home. So, I wore the most beautiful, purple metallic fishnet floor length dress. Usually, I refrain from wearing fishnet since it’s kind of seductive and not super aesthetically pleasing to me, but the way this gown was constructed really accomplished the perfect sexy, yet classy vibe that I was aiming for this year. To accessorize, I wore a purple metallic mini bag and a classic pair of Alexander Wang Nova heels for the ultimate, luxe vibe!

BRUNCHIN' IN STYLE: To express my gratitude to my friends for coming on this trip, I surprised them with a private chef who made us brunch at our Airbnb. I love coordinating looks so we all wore blue and white for the occasion!

THE ART EXPERIENCE: While planning my trip, everyone kept recommending the AZULIK Art Exhibit as a MUST visit. Being that I love art and these recs were coming from trusted opinions, taking a moment to visit was a no-brainer. Since the gallery requires visitors to be barefoot, I had to wear a piece that made a statement and spoke for itself! So, I wore a floral dress with printed artwork by Lord Newry. I changed up my hair by rocking a classic high pony.
