Happy Wednesday loves! For my first look of the new year, I decided to do a more bold look with my snakeskin boots. Honestly, I try to stay away from trends, but I couldn't resist and might be obsessed. As I pair more pieces of my wardrobe with these same boots, I realize that it's not so much about wearing the same boots often. It's all about how you style them differently with each look! I live for a great statement piece and the snakeskin print adds the perfect edge to almost any look I can think of.
With this look, I decided to take a unique approach to the classic "denim on denim" trend. I paired a simple black turtleneck under my distressed long black denim jacket, with my two-toned black denim skirt with a frayed hem. I thought it could use more body and structure, so I added a white belt which would play into the white that is in the snakeskin boots. Since it's January and BRICK outside, I prefer warmth, but with style and topped the look with an olive fleece coat. Also, I love incorporating a pop of color into almost all of my looks, so I added a color block textured bag.
