For all my natural hair ladies out there, I'm sure we can all agree that our hair is just as essential to our look as our clothes or accessories are. I know it can be tricky to find the right hairstyle for the right look, as our hair is one of our most important attributes. In today’s post, I’ll be giving some inspiration on how to style your hair to compliment what you wear, no matter the occasion.
With our country still somewhat quarantined, I like to take advantage of every opportunity to get dressed up and go out, and this time was no exception! For the event I attended, I was going for a semi-casual, yet classy look. As pictured, I am wearing a white satin double layer pocket shirt dress with hints of tan and red bandana print mules. To add a little more structure, I belted the dress with a vintage authentic gold chain belt. You guys already know I LOVE accessorizing, so I added my red and white beaded purse, red shades, and some gold rings.
If you’re wearing a look that has a lot of intricate details in each piece like mine, your best bet is to go easy on the hairstyle. For me, I like to try a lot of new hairstyles in the summer, so I didn’t want my hair to be too basic. So, I decided to do one of my favorite styles; a classic flexi-rod set with a little twist. I braided a small section in the front of my hair and proceeded to install the flexi-rods in the rest of my head. This hairstyle is simple, yet adds another great factor to this fierce look.
